Summary
- Your garage (vehicles, service records, reminders, fuel log, car documents) is stored on your device first, so the core app works offline.
- This garage data is backed up to the Servio cloud database and synced to your account. Photos (receipts, documents) and app preferences stay on your device; only a photo you choose to scan is sent for reading.
- The optional AI features (assistant and receipt scanning) send data to our AI provider only after you agree to it in the app.
- If you share a car, the people you invite can see and edit that car's data, and see your name or email address.
- We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs in the app, and we do not sell personal data.
What we process
Account identifier
On first launch Servio creates an anonymous account so your garage can be backed up without asking for personal data. Purpose: back up and sync your garage. Legal basis: contract.
Email address and name
Only if you sign in with an email code, Apple or Google. We receive your email address and, if Apple or Google shares it, your name. Purpose: sign-in, account recovery and showing your account in Settings. Legal basis: contract.
Sign in with Apple token
Only if you sign in with Apple: our server exchanges the one-time code from Apple for a token and keeps it, never in the app, solely to revoke Servio's access to your Apple ID when you delete your account, as Apple requires. Legal basis: contract.
Vehicles, service records, reminders, fuel log and car documents
When you add them, they are stored on your device and synced to your account so you can use them on several devices. For documents only the type, expiry date and notes sync; the photos stay on your device. Legal basis: contract.
Shared cars
Only if you share a car or join one: the members of that car and their name or email address, so family members can manage one car together. Everyone with access can see and edit that car's records, reminders, fuel log and documents. The owner can remove a member at any time and a member can leave. Legal basis: contract.
Subscription and purchase status
When you view or buy Servio Pro, we receive your purchase records from the App Store or Google Play to unlock Pro features and restore purchases. We never see your payment details. Legal basis: contract.
Servio AI messages and receipt scans
Only when you use the assistant and have agreed to it in the app: your messages and the garage data needed to answer, or a receipt photo you choose to scan, are sent through our server to Anthropic to generate the reply or read the receipt. A scanned photo is not stored on our servers. Legal basis: consent.
Data that stays on your device
Photos you attach to records, fuel entries and documents, app preferences such as language, and reminder notification schedules never leave your device. The home screen widget reads your upcoming reminders on the device. PDF, CSV and calendar exports are created on your device and go only where you choose to send them.
Servio web pages
When you visit the Servio web pages, Vercel may process technical request data such as IP address, user agent, requested URL and timestamps to deliver the site and prevent abuse, and may use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights for aggregate traffic and performance. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
Contact requests
If you contact us about Servio, we process the information you provide, such as your name, email address and message, to respond. Legal basis: legitimate interest or contract.
Servio AI and purchases
The assistant and receipt scanning are optional and part of Servio Pro. Before the first use the app asks for your permission to send data to Anthropic; nothing is sent before you agree. Clear chat history in Settings removes the conversation from your device.
Servio Pro is an auto-renewable subscription billed by Apple or Google. You can manage or cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account settings.
Service providers
- Supabase: database, sign-in and server functions, hosted in Frankfurt (EU).
- Anthropic: the Claude AI model behind Servio AI. It receives only assistant messages, the garage data needed to answer and receipt photos you scan, and does not use this data to train its models.
- RevenueCat: subscription management. It receives your account identifier and App Store or Google Play purchase records.
- Apple and Google: Sign in with Apple, Google Sign-In, App Store and Google Play payments, only when you use them.
- Resend: delivery of sign-in code emails, only when you sign in with email.
- Vercel: hosting and analytics for the Servio web pages.
Each provider is bound by a data processing agreement. Some process data outside the EU, for example in the United States; those transfers rely on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
Retention
Your synced garage data is kept while your account exists. Subscription records are kept by Apple, Google and RevenueCat as required for billing and tax law. Contact requests are kept only as long as needed to handle them.
Your rights
- Request access to personal data we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Request deletion of your data.
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Withdraw consent at any time, for example by no longer using Servio AI.
- Lodge a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (uoou.gov.cz).
Delete your account and data
In the app, open Settings, then Account, then Delete Account. This permanently deletes your account and all synced data from our servers, revokes Servio's access to your Apple ID if you signed in with Apple, and clears the local copy. Deleting the app removes the data stored on the device.
You can also email us from the address linked to your account and we will delete your data. We may need to verify the request first: contact@frostemberstudios.com
Permissions, children and changes
Servio uses the camera only when you photograph a receipt, the photo library only when you attach an existing photo, and notifications only for reminders you create.
Servio is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data. We will update this page when our data practices change and show the date of the latest version above.
